The Unforgettables Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to providing financial assistance to families facing the unimaginable loss of a child. Founded in 1999 by hospital chaplain Tim Evans, our mission is rooted in compassion, dignity, and community support. We believe that no family should face the added burden of funeral costs during their time of grief.
Serving families in Riverside, San Bernardino, and Orange Counties and beyond, we partner with hospitals, funeral homes, and community organizations to ensure that children are laid to rest with love and respect—regardless of a family’s financial circumstances. In addition to burial assistance, we work to raise awareness about child loss, offer education on prevention, and connect families with grief support resources.
Thanks to the generosity of donors, volunteers, and community partners, The Unforgettables Foundation has helped thousands of families navigate one of life’s most difficult journeys. Together, we honor every child’s memory and bring hope to those who need it most.
MISSION
The mission of The Unforgettables Foundation is to:
- Enable low- income families to give their children a dignified burial.
- Empower communities to memorialize children who have died.
- Educate parents and children’s caregivers to confront, control and conquer the primary risks to our children’s health and wholeness.
- Encourage communities to recognize the financial trauma which is often associated with the death of a child.

With over two decades of nonprofit leadership, fundraising expertise, and community engagement, Lori brings a lifelong passion for serving children and families during their most difficult times. Having learned the value of charity and compassion from an early age, she has dedicated her life’s work to helping those in need. A native of the Inland Empire with strong community roots, Lori holds an MBA from the University of Redlands, a Nonprofit Management Certificate from UCR, and is a Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE) and Certified Event Planner. She is honored to lead The Unforgettables Foundation in its mission to provide compassionate burial assistance and support services to grieving families while building lasting partnerships to expand the Foundation’s reach and impact.

Tim Evans founded The Unforgettables Foundation in 1999 with a simple yet powerful mission: to ensure that no family faces the financial burden of burying a child alone. Drawing on his background as a hospital chaplain and his deep compassion for grieving families, Tim built the organization from the ground up—transforming a heartfelt vision into a far-reaching network of support across Southern California and beyond. Over the decades, his leadership, advocacy, and unyielding commitment have provided hope and dignity to thousands of families during their darkest moments. Though now retired, Tim’s legacy continues to guide The Unforgettables Foundation’s mission of mercy every single day.
